Artist Bio

Amber Senocak is an artist based in Istanbul, Turkey. She uses many mediums, from painting canvas and murals to creating objects through ceramics. With the power of color, she reflects her perspective on the stigma towards sexual orientation and gender stereotypes, often creating figurative work resembling the sensuous bodies of the renaissance period. Together with her work, she pushes boundaries and rebels against the idealism of so called ‘normality.’

After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2016, she returned home to Istanbul in order to expand her insight on the taboos of sex and gender orientation in Turkey. Being American and Turkish, she was exposed to the deep contrast between the two cultures and their approach in these matters giving her a unique ability to express this in her work.

While in her free time she is busy with her own work, Amber Senocak also enjoys collaborating with other industry members, meeting new people and producing bespoke work designed and created specifically for you.
